Actress Winnie Bwire Ndubi has opened up about her difficult journey, appealing for financial assistance to continue her cancer treatment.

Ndubi is seeking Ksh 5 million to cover the costs of her treatment, including accommodation and meals during her stay.

She recently shared that, despite being discharged, she's staying positive and has even resumed exercising. "I got struck by a fever, but my appetite is back. I thank God for all those small things," she said.

In a video posted on social media, the actress explained that she was doing well with her medication until she began experiencing side effects.

"You wouldn't believe it—it has over 41 side effects, and you never know which one will hit. You experience some of them at different times, and it keeps changing," she shared.

Her doctors have since advised her to stop taking the medication. Although she has secured visas for her treatment abroad, financial constraints are holding her back.

"If you can support me, I have nothing to give in return, but you will save my life. I didn't want this video to be emotional; I wanted it to be filled with hope. Right now, I'm so frustrated by how expensive healthcare is. Every time I feel like I've made ten steps forward, it's like I'm being dragged back eight steps. Thank you so much for praying for me."

She is battling metastatic breast cancer which according to cancer.net, metastatic breast cancer is when breast cancer spreads to an area farther from where it started to another part of the body.
