Kenyan rapper Stevo Simple Boy has stated that he will only collaborate with Tanzania's Diamond Platnumz if he is paid Sh20 million.

Without this payment, a collaboration won’t be possible. Stevo claimed that Diamond reached out via Instagram about a possible collaboration.

"Diamond, you texted me on Instagram saying you want a collabo, but unless you cough up Sh20 million, there’s no deal—Self-declared King of Africa, Stevo Simple Boy."

Chibu has previously worked with high-profile artists such as Koffi Olomidé, Ne-Yo, and Jason Derulo.

He reportedly spent Sh10 million on the ‘Marry You’ collaboration with Ne-Yo and Sh5.6 million for the ‘Waka’ track with Rick Ross.

The remix of “Komasava” featuring Jason Derulo cost at least Sh24 million to produce. The song, which is currently trending, was filmed in various locations, including Dubai and Paris.

Diamond’s longtime manager, SK Sallam, revealed that the total budget surpassed Tsh500 million (Sh24 million) when accounting for all expenses, including logistics, location fees, production costs, and accommodation.

“The video was shot across different locations by three different directors. There are scenes in Dubai’s desert, Paris, and additional scenes featuring both Diamond and Jason in Dubai,” SK Sallam explained.
