Director Trevor has expressed regret over publicizing his relationship with his ex, YouTuber Mungai Eve, admitting that the criticism often affected him despite his attempts to remain strong.
In an interview with Oga Obinna, Trevor responded to a fan who asked if he regretted going public with his relationship.
He said, “At some point, yes, I did feel that way, but in life, you can't choose what comes with it. There was a time I wished I hadn’t gone public, especially when Andrew Kibe was criticizing me.”
Trevor noted that people would judge him without considering both sides of the story. “Initially, Kibe’s criticism of my relationship really affected me. He would run my story without knowing the facts. At least Edgar Obare used to ask for my side of the story,” he shared.
“At some point, you will be affected no matter what, but we got used to it.”
Trevor announced their breakup in February 2024, revealing that they had kept it private to protect their brand. He has since moved on and is in a new relationship.
