Kenyan comedian and aspiring politician MC Jessy has opened up about why he keeps his family off social media.

According to the Churchill Raw host, he chose a public life, but his family did not. While photos of Jessy with a woman alleged to be his wife and their son have circulated online for years, Jessy has addressed these claims directly.

In an interview with SPM Buzz, Jessy denied being married to anyone named Wangare, as previously rumored.

"I do not know anyone by that name. I have never married anyone by that name," he stated.

Jessy explained his decision not to post his family online: "I am the one who chose to be in the limelight, not my kids, wife, or girlfriend."

He stressed that he needed consent from his family before sharing any personal details on social media.

"Anything concerning someone other than MC Jessy requires their consent. I want them to agree if I can discuss them in the media or not. I started comedy when I was alone, and I prefer to keep it that way."

Jessy also mentioned that he is protecting himself in case a relationship doesn't work out.

"Romance can end, and I don't want to explain that to people. Fans are interested in what I am doing, not in my personal life. There are scenarios where relationships end, and I would rather not put my personal life out there," he added.
