The Dodoma Regional Police Force is holding Raphael Keneth Ndamanhwa in connection with the murder of Tanzanian rapper Mandojo.
Raphael, a guardian at All Saints Parish Catholic Church in Nzuguni B, is the primary suspect in the murder of Joseph Francis, popularly known as Mandojo, which took place on August 11, 2024.
Acting Commander of the Dodoma Regional Police, Senior Assistant Commissioner (SACP) Anania Amo, stated that the police are continuing to question Raphael Keneth in relation to the incident.
The information was also confirmed by musician Anselm Tryphone, known as Soggy Doggy, who revealed that Mandojo was beaten to death after being mistaken for a thief.
"My heart is in great pain; I will miss you very much, my brother and my friend. Rest in peace, Mandojo. Truly, human life on this earth is very short.
My condolences to brothers, relatives, and friends. I'm deeply sorry, my brother @domokayatz. God's work has no mistakes," Soggy Doggy wrote.
Domo Kaya, another close friend, also shared his grief: "Daaaah, MY SON, I can't believe the 22nd of this month was supposed to be your birthday. Aisee, why! This is so sad. Rest in peace, my brother. May God give you eternal light, my friend, my brother."
Mandojo rose to fame with hits like "Give Me," "Wanok Nok," and "Dingi."
