Khaligraph Jones recently shed light on why he took a break from music and what fans can expect as he gears up for his return.

In an interview with SPM Buzz during the launch of Monster Energy's party, the rapper shared that he had pressing matters that required his immediate attention.

"There are some things I've been working on. God's grace has been sufficient, and we're almost there. Once we're done with that, I can finally commit myself fully to music," he said.

Khaligraph is set to feature in a song with Bensoul, premiering on August 14th. He explained that sometimes it's necessary to step back, analyze the industry, and possibly rebrand.

"This will be an upgraded version of Khaligraph Jones," he promised, adding that the new approach will soon be on display.

In response to recent criticism from rapper Stoopid Boy, who claimed that Khaligraph was using young artists to reignite his career, the OG was unbothered.

Stoopid Boy had questioned why Khaligraph participated in the "Anguka Nayo" remix, suggesting it was an attempt to regain relevance.

"Kuna vitu jokes na vitu serious. Mtu kama OG aliishanga kwa industry," Stoopid Boy had remarked.

Addressing these comments, Khaligraph said, "I can never respond to talented people like Stoopid Boy. He has one song that I like, and I've checked out his work—he's doing well too."

Khaligraph acknowledged that he used to speak harshly in his younger days but offered advice to Stoopid Boy, saying, "I totally understand because many people abuse me. But we end up talking."
