Kenyans eagerly awaited Eliud Kipchoge's performance at the Paris 2024 Olympics on Saturday, August 10. Sports CS Kipchumba Murkomen flew to Paris and, upon arrival, shared his intentions.

"As a Ministry, we are committed to restoring Kenya's glory in athletics and other sports. That's why I'm here in Paris to support our team and meet with global sports federation heads to explore avenues for collaboration. I'm determined to reform sports management for the greater good and improve the fortunes of our sportsmen and women," he wrote on X.com.

The 39-year-old marathoner was among the athletes representing Kenya's national team and was poised to become the first athlete ever to win three consecutive Olympic marathon titles. Unfortunately, he did not finish the race.

Comedian Njugush, who was keeping up with the latest updates, shared words of encouragement for the legend.

He praised Kipchoge for his remarkable running career, saying, "Thank you @EliudKipchoge for showing us it's possible! Thank you for writing long-distance history for Kenya."
