Willis Raburu has announced the rescheduling of his Wabebe show after restructuring it to a live recording where fans pay tickets to be part of it.

Raburu said the rescheduling was brought about by protests.

"Our intention at Wabebe Experience, as the name suggests, is to curate experiences through interviews, performances, and interactive segments in front of a live audience. The show aims to create an immersive experience for both the in- person attendees and the viewers at home. By seamlessly integrating entertainment, humor, current affairs, and music, the show rides the wave of engagement to captivate its audience," he wrote in a statement

Raburu said he had come to that decision together with his team "In light of planned nane nane protests. a day before the event. We have been holding security meetings with our teams in order to get ready for our INAUGURAL recording. Thank you for all of you who have come out and bought tickets for show that was scheduled for 9th August 2024. "

"Sadly, after extensive consultations, and due to the charged emotions and nature of this week, and going by past days of protest, we feel it will be inconsiderate to hold the event on this day and as such have made the unprecedented decision to reschedule the WABEBE XP LIVE RECORDING edition to Friday August 30th, 2024. We understand the inconvenience this presents however your physical and mental safety comes first . All purchased tickets remain valid until 30th August 2024. "

He went on to urge his followers that as they exercise their democratic right to picket, that is enshrined in the constitution, to stay vigilant and safe.
