Michelle Ntalami has celebrated completing an entire year without consuming any alcohol.
Through her Instagram page, Ntalami posted a lengthy message detailing her journey to sobriety and how she has successfully avoided all alcoholic beverages.
The beauty recounted how some of her friends mocked her last year when she began this journey and celebrated the first 30 days, saying that it was too short a time and that she would soon return to drinking.
"I’m celebrating ONE YEAR OF SOBRIETY!💧 Think fam, an entire year without alcohol! And that includes champagne and the ‘harmless glass of wine’ I used to defend.
I remember last year when I first shared that I was celebrating my milestone of 30 days, some people laughed and said 30 days is too short and that I would soon be back. Well, here we are, an entire year!” she said.
Ntalami, who two months ago announced she had found faith, revealed that she had quit alcohol even before giving her life to God.
"Quitting alcohol was something I did even before meeting God. Though I was never an addict, it doesn’t take being an addict to quit a bad habit. If anything, that’s the best time to quit since you have more resolve to let it go before getting bound.⛓️
So, about three months before, I stopped going to clubs entirely and removed/gave away my stash. I started making positive changes in my life. The changes were tough, but I was determined to cut off anything and anyone that wasn’t good for me and my well-being,” Ntalami explained.
“This tells you that it doesn’t require following a particular faith to quit bad habits, situations, or people. It is entirely possible on your own volition. This is my heartfelt message to you who is considering letting go of anything. God gave us our free will to make and stick to the right decisions in life. YOU CAN DO IT,” she added.
Two months ago, in a surprise to many, Ntalami announced she had found God and dedicated her entire life to Him.
