Bongo flava star Zuchu has urged upcoming artists not to lose hope, claiming that music pays. The beautiful Tanzanian artist said that budding musicians should not give up at all.

"Let's not deceive each other, music pays...."

However, the artist revealed her rate rates, stating:

"I don't attend any show for less than Tsh. 20 million (over Ksh. 960,000),"

She continued to say that the lowest payment she has received was Tsh. 15 million, which is approximately more than Ksh. 720,000.

"This year, the lowest-paying show I performed at paid me Tsh. 15 million (over Ksh. 720,000), and the boss was begged a lot until he agreed to help our brothers," Zuchu claimed.

Her statement comes a few months after the 'Sukari's singer was banned from performing in Zanzibar by the Zanzibar Arts, Censorship, Film, and Culture Board (BASSFU) for a period of six months.

According to BASSFU, an investigation revealed that Zuchu's performances did not align with the customs and traditions of Zanzibar.

However, the artist apologized through her Instagram page.

She explained that her actions were intended to entertain her fans, and she regretted any negative impact they might have had on the community.

"I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for the words I used in that song which caused an uproar at the Full Moon Party in Kendwa Beach, Zanzibar recently. I know those words caused confusion for many of you and had a negative impact on the community and my fans," she said.
