Mowzey Radio's mother, Jane Kasuubo, is seeking financial assistance of approximately USh 350 million (about Ksh 12.2 million) to purchase a piece of land from her neighbor.
This land leads to the site where her son, Radio, was buried.
Ms. Kasuubo explained that while her neighbour has agreed to sell the land, it is contingent upon receiving the specified amount of money.
Radio passed away on February 1, 2018, while receiving treatment at Case Medical Centre in Kampala. He was later laid to rest at his family’s home in Nakawuka Kagga, Wakiso District, Uganda.
Speaking to the press, Mama Mowzey Radio revealed that she had approached singer Eddy Kenzo for help but received only empty promises.
“I reached out to Eddy Kenzo for assistance. He promised to visit the land but has never shown up. I need Shs 350 million to purchase this land. The complication is that the owner is reluctant to sell because there is a house on the property. However, buying this land would provide easier access to Mowzey Radio’s final resting place,” she said.
Mama Radio believes that Mowzey’s resting place has become a tourist attraction and wants to improve access for visitors.
