Citizen TV finally unveils Hassan Mugambi's replacement

• Wallah has been unveiled as the new Crime & Investigations Editor taking over from Mugambi who left for a new job in Aden Duale’s office.

Royal media services owned station Citizen TV has finally unveiled Hassan Mugambi’s replacement as they revamp their investigative Desk.

The SK Macharia-owned media house has poached seasoned Investigative journalist Franklin Wallah from TV47 to join their newsroom.

He was officially introduced to the Citizen TV family by Linus Kaikai who is the Editorial Director at Royal Media Services.

Wallah has been unveiled as the new Crime & Investigations Editor taking over from Mugambi who left for a new job in Aden Duale’s office.

“OUR LATEST signing; meet the  @citizentvkenya Crime & Investigations Editor Franklin Wallah. We’ve got you covered!,” read a tweet from Linus Kaikai.

Wallah had a short stint at TV47 after leaving K24.

Just the other day, Kaikai also introduced Melita Ole Tenges as their new signing after poaching him Nation Media Group’s NTV.

Ole Tenges announced his exit from Nation Media Group after 7 years of service.

In his exit message, he expressed gratitude towards the NTV management and his immediate bosses for the opportunity to work at the Twin Tower Media house.

“After an unforgettable 7 years at NTV, I'm embarking on a new journey. Grateful to God for guiding my journalistic path, and to Nation Media Group for the opportunity of a lifetime. Proud of our achievements together.

"Thanks to family, friends, viewers, and news sources for your unwavering support and inspiring stories. With a heart full of gratitude, I embrace what lies ahead. We PRESS-On "Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn'," he said in his exit message.

His social media pages have also been edited to reflect his new workstation.

“Back to where it all started 8 years ago @citizentvkenya. I was warmly welcomed by MD Wachira Waruru and Editorial Director Linus Kaikai. Tuchape Kazi sasa,” Ole Tenges said.

He has now joined the new faces that Citizen TV has brought in in the quest to revamp their newsroom after they lost some of their top reporters to political offices.

The other newcomers include Emmanuel Too (formerly at KTN), Franklin Wallah (formerly at TV47/K24), and Willie Lusige (formerly at KTN).

Some of the top talents who left Citizen TV recently include; Victoria Rubadiri, Waihiga Mwaura, Hassan Mugambi, Chemutai Goin, and Francis Gachuri.
