Pastor Victor Kanyari of the Salvation Healing Ministry in Nairobi has sparked new claims, stating that he is the only pastor with many divine permissions from God.
In a video circulating on social media, Kanyari is seen claiming that in Kenya, he is the only pastor with God's permission to heal HIV.
Kanyari, while on the pulpit of his church, reassured his congregants, saying that he is the only pastor with the ability to completely eliminate HIV from a patient's body through prayer alone.
"I am the only preacher who prays for people with HIV and they get healed," Kanyari said boldly.
However, the controversial pastor continued, saying that not everyone he prays for will be healed. According to him, the permission God has given him is to pray for people with HIV, but the matter of who will be healed remains solely in God's hands.
"...and not everyone, only the person God wants to heal!" he added.
Many people, however, appeared to contradict his statement, pointing out that HIV has no complete cure and that the existing medication only reduces its severity.
They argued that there has never been a single case of healing through prayer, except in Biblical stories from the times of Jesus and the apostles.
