Mugithi singer Kareh B has explained why she went back to work just a month after the death of her son.

The celebrated singer lost her first born son Joe Mwadulo.

The late Mwadulo lost his life on March 31, 2024, after a bus carrying him and other students from Chavakali High School overturned at the Mamboleo roundabout in Kisumu County.

In an interview with Massawe Japanni, she shared

"Death is inevitable.

We never know when or how we will die. I am not the only grieving mother.

Fortunately or unfortunately I am a public figure. I had another son waiting for me to pay his school fees. I couldn't pay bills with tears.

People grieve differently. I chose to go out and interact with people. Staying in the house might lead to depression and unnecessary thoughts."

Kareh B added

"I love singing and so I chose to do so.

I am doing the interview to encourage mothers that before they became mothers they were individuals.

They forget who they were before kids. I want to remind them to take care of themselves."

She further advised

"It is also advisable not to take alcohol during such a time, grieve, cry if necessary."

She said the father of her son was in denial after they received the news of their child's sudden demise

" When he found out, he was not believing it.

He was in denial, he took the next shuttle to Kisumu, He was hurt. He wouldn't pick nor was he answering his texts."
