President William Ruto emphasized the importance of unity among Kenyans for the nation's progress.

Speaking on Saturday at the commissioning of Kipsoen Technical and Vocational College in Elgeyo Marakwet County, Ruto called for an end to political and regional divides.

Ruto highlighted Kenya's potential, stating that cooperation is key to harnessing opportunities, creating jobs, managing debt, and combating corruption.

He stressed that all Kenyans must work together for the country's greater good.

"This is our country, and moving forward, we must work as one. By harnessing every opportunity and talent, we can build our economy, create jobs, manage our debts, and decisively tackle corruption. Kenya is a country of great potential, and we must close ranks across political and regional divides for the best interest of the Republic of Kenya," Ruto said.

His call for unity follows recent protests that led to the dismissal of the entire Cabinet and the resignation of some senior police officials, including the Inspector General of Police.

In a recent address, Ruto announced his intention to form a broad-based government after consulting widely across different sectors and political formations.

He aims to set up a team that will help address the country's debt burden, expand job opportunities, eliminate wastage, reduce redundancy in government agencies, and combat corruption, ultimately making the government more efficient and effective.
