Digital content creator and budding gospel musician Muchiri Mike has termed his unlawful arbitrary arrest as one of the most traumatic events that he has ever been through.

Sharing a photo of himself outside the waiting bay of Kasarani Police Station where he had been held the content creator thanked netizens for showing up for him and helping fight for his safety.

"Yesterday was easily one of the most traumatic days of my life," started off the 25-year-old Bio-Med graduate who has been very vocal since the #Reject Finance Bill protests offering civic education in both English and vernacular to Kenyans through his social media pages.

Muchiri went on to add; "So many lawyers and tweeps showed up in a such a short time!!!!

I'm grateful beyond words. To every lawyer, and friend, I can't thank you enough. The support system, Kenyans for Kenyans Justice has to prevail,"

Yesterday at around midday, the content creator went into panic mode after unidentified police trailed him from town finally stopping him along Thika Road as they instructed him to drive to Kasarani Police Station without any probable cause.

"Please guys amplify on Twitter, they have told me niingie Kasarani Station but I feel like I am being targeted because I have been followed. Wamekuwa wakinifuata kutoka nitoke tao... wamenisimamisha hapa...." the budding artist could be heard saying in a shaky voice before his live feed was disrupted.

Before going radio silent he'd also managed to tweet They are arresting me at Kasarani!" on his X page that has over 48.6k following. Causing uproar among concerned netizens with the hashtag #FreeMikeMuchiri trending within minutes.

The reason for his arrest is yet to be made public. On Sunday, Muchiri was at the forefront of the Shujaaz memorial concert held at Uhuru Park in honor of protesters who'd died at the hands of rogue police officers.
