Multi-award-winning film director and scriptwriter Philip Karanja popularly known as Director Phil has shared a post eulogizing Kenyans who lost their lives during Yesterday's demos.

The Reject Finance Bill protests took place countrywide.

Reports indicate that innocent people were shot dead in the Githuri 45 area. It's alleged that Police opened fire on innocent souls.

On a black canvas with wordings representing the colours of the Kenyan flag, the father of one commended all those who showed up for their courage and relentless pursuit of justice which had sadly led to their young lives being cut short with brute force.

"Heartfelt condolences to the families and friends of all those who lost their lives during the protests against the Finance Bill. May their bravery and sacrifice never be forgotten," wrote the film director as he finished off his caption by still calling for the rejection of the proposed 2024/2025 Finance Bill while paying respects to victims of what netizens are now calling the #Githurai Massacre.

Below is the rest of Phil's heart-tugging post in honour of all the protest victims who lost their lives while fighting against over-taxation and lack of accountability from the government.
