At least 200 protesters were reported injured during Tuesday's anti-tax demos in Nairobi.

Also, there were reported deaths of about 10 individuals around Parliament when protesters breached the building's security and stormed the National Assembly.

Celebrities have taken to their social media to weigh in, calling for concerns raised to be heard and addressed.

Dear Mr President, Years of corruption and deceit have united Kenyans in anger and disappointment. We demand change - in your cabinet, into the laws, and in your perception of the Kenyan people. Don't give people more reasons to protest against a leadership that has left them feeling unsafe and disillusioned. People have sacrificed their lives for this country; you cannot shoot your way out of this crisis. Be a leader, not a bystander, watching your country go up in flames"

"To be honest I'm very worried about Kenya. A small conversation about not wanting a finance bill has turned sour in ways it should not have. So many have been hurt and so much destroyed. This is neither good for the people nor the state itself. I hope the Government finds a wiser way to make Kenya a vibrant state of progress with happier Kenyasn as a goal . Poleni majirani.

I feel your pain"

This song is timely. It says that we need to Stand for Jesus and what he would stand for.. To stand in his strength alone, the arm of flesh will fail you. And be encouraged that after the noise of battle, next is Victor's song. Stand up, stand up for Jesus.

Stand in his strength alone; The arm of flesh will fail you, Ye dare not trust your own. Put on the gospel armor, Each piece put on with prayer; Where duty calls or danger, Be never wanting there. Stand up, stand up for Jesus, The strife will not be long; This day, the noise of battle, The next is the victor's song. To those who vanquish evil crown of life shall be; They with the King of glory shall reign eternally,'

My heart is bleeding πŸ’”. Protestors dead. Many injured. Citizens abducted. A peaceful protest met by a selfish, hostile government that would rather kill than listen to the people! Ah! God have mercy on this Nation!#RejectFinanceBill2024 πŸ‡°πŸ‡ͺ
