Veteran actor and comedian turned brand influencer Steven Oduor, popularly known as DJ Shiti is openly addressing the elephant in the room... his homeless older brother.

DJ Shiti has fought hard to make a name for himself, and now he's raking in big bags from brand endorsements as well as content creation.

However, he's faced criticism here and there from people accusing him of not lending a hand to his struggling family member.

The comedian recently delved into their problematic relationship highlighting why it appears as if he's given up on one of his brothers.

He also attributed parenting styles as a key factor in why some kids turn problematic.

"I have a brother who stays in Nakuru, people of that town know him... and he's the type of person who started being a nuisance a long time ago," started off DJ Shiti.

He added, "You know, in one way or the other parents greatly contribute to children misbehaving."

Fast forward and his brother's character got worse. Once he was charged with a heated assault case forcing Shiti to bail him out after he'd spent a few days in the cells.

That didn't help curb his problematic nature. He chose to go live in the streets and got into crime.

"Akaenda kwa streets! Jamani nlikuwa nafikiria chokora ni vitu za watoto, mtu mzima, a whole grown up akaenda akakuwa chokora na glue na gunia! And then when he'd meet with people he'd be like, 'just look at what he has done to me'," the actor emotionally said adding that he'd lie to people that Shiti had joined a cult and 'sacrificed' his star.

The actor recalled getting a call informing him his brother was being lynched by a mob after he got caught trying to burglarize someone's house. He intervened once again but nothing to date has changed.

His brother is still a problematic homeless guy and people still carry the narrative that Shiti was experiencing airplay and good fortune as he'd 'sacrificed' his older brother.
