Mugiithi singer Samidoh and Ohangla singer Prince Indah have ventured into the film industry. The two are executive producers of 'Kienyeji' a film that explores the issues of intermarriages in Kenya.
The movie stars Nyokabi Macharia and Xavier Ywaya as the main protagonists. It also stars Amina Hussein.
It also adopts a cultural, rich theme through an infusion of Ohangla and Mugiithi music. Taking to social media, Prince Indah wrote;
"For the very first time. I am getting into film business me and my brother @samidoh_muchoki .Join us on 8th June at the KICC for the premiere of KIENYEJI.
A film like no other purely directed by our very own Oliver Ochanda. Me and my brother we shall fully entertain you to the end."
Samidoh on the other hand wrote;
"Exciting news! Prince Indah and I are thrilled to announce our venture into the film industry as Executive Producers of our first movie, 'KIENYEJI'. We delve into the complexities of intermarriages in Kenya, starring the talented @nyokabi_macharia and @ywayaxavier, with an infusion of Ohangla and Mugithi music. Join us for the premiere on June 8th, 2024, at KICC."
The movie is set to premiere on the 8th June 2024 at KICC COMESA grounds.
