Late veteran reggae emcee and endometriosis warrior, Njambi 'Jahmby' Koikai, has passed on. Jahmby passed away at the Nairobi Hospital on Monday around 9 pm.
"She was at the ICU unit when she passed away," a source at the hospital told the Star.
The reggae queen, known as Fyah Mummah, had recently been admitted to the hospital and had appealed for blood.
"Hi fam, I'm currently admitted at the Pioneer Ward Nairobi Hospital and I kindly need Blood O positive. Kindly asking for blood donors for Mary Njambi Koikai," she wrote at the time on her Instagram stories.
The late Njambi who was known for her love of reggae after hosting some TV shows had struggled for almost two decades with endometriosis.
Many of her fans mourned the legendary reggae fanatic.
