Veteran socialite and entrepreneur Vera Sidika has spoken about the saga involving Anerlisa Muigai trying to fundraise for her fiance'.
Anerlisa's fiancé' Josiah Kariuki, was charged on May 6, by the Milimani Anti-Corruption Court for allegedly manufacturing, distributing, and selling substandard fertilizer.
Taking to her Instagram stories during a QnA session with her followers, the mother of 2 expressed her disagreement over the whole idea of having to raise funds, especially for a man who portrays a lavish lifestyle.
"Let me tell you something, okay? It's really not cool for friends to expose the fact that you are fundraising for your guy. But baby let me be honest... Why? Why would you fundraise for a guy that looks like he has money?" Vera said in response video she posted while replying to an Instagram user who had asked for her take on friends exposing each other's fundraising efforts.
She went on to highlight that there are so many ways that Anerlisa's fiance could have gone about the whole situation without having to put the Keroche Breweries heiress in such an awkward and embarrassing situation.
"What he should say is, 'Babe could please go see my lawyer, get three million from him, and bail me out.' Because why? Ata afadhali ingekuwa ni mtu unajua hana kakitu. And why do you need to ask your friends to do that? I feel like your friends would fundraise for you but for your guy... that's nasty work," added the aspiring musician.
Captioning the post Vera maintained that Anerlisa's friend (the one who leaked the chat) had genuinely done her bad but her fiance was also not o.k.
"They did a girl dirty but I think if you got a rich guy, he should not put you up for embarrassments like that," wrote the Real Housewives of Nairobi star.
