CNN International correspondent Larry Madowo has savoured a delightful meal of fried flying termites and ugali.

In a video posted on his Instagram, the media personality presented the crispy dish, renowned in the Western Kenya region.

"These are flying termites. Very popular in Western Kenya. I grew up with these. They are attracted to lights, and that's how we catch them. Very crunchy as you can see and great for breakfast by the way. Oh my God! This is fine, so nutritious," he remarked.

Shortly thereafter, he finished consuming the termites and enthusiastically licked his fingers to express his satisfaction.

He playfully urged his fans to give these delicious bugs a try, asking: "Do you eat termites? Why are you sleeping on these delicious bugs?"
