Grammy-nominated singer Eddy Kenzo has introduced his lover and the mother of his child to the public for the first time ever.

Kenzo and Phiona Nyamutoro share a child.

On Wednesday evening, he revealed this during his performance in Kampala, Uganda.

“I have to tell you this. Hon. Nyamutoro is my personal person and we have a kid together,” he said.

Nyamutoro was recently appointed as Uganda's Minister of State for Energy and Mineral Development. Kenzo accompanied her to the swearing-in.

Kenzo later took to social media to celebrate her appointment.

"It's such a joy to witness your swearing in as the Minister of state for energy and mineral development (Minerals). Watching you walk an incredible journey of leadership makes me more proud. May God continue to protect and guide you through it all as you serve our beloved country."
