Femi One has expressed her frustration at fans continuously mistaking her for Fena Gitu. Speaking during an interview with YouTube channel UpSyd, she complained about her frustration with the confusion.

Femi said although there may be similarities, what she wants is for fans to distinguish the difference.

She was asked how frustrated it makes her, "Everytime yani, cheki, mi ndio Femi One, like the short hair, the coloured hair, mimi ndio Femi," she ranted.

She then went on to issue a jocular warning to anyone who will ever mistake her for Fena, saying,

"The next time mtu ananiita Fena walai, anakula headi, walai, hio kitu all the time."

It is not just fans, but her industry peers and media personalities

"Mpaka yani artistes, wana kua...mpaka Radio Presenters, niko like, hawa sijui ni ignorance, ama ni nini, me I mi huwa sielewi yani. Huwa si geti, huwa sielewi, also I think ni juu tulitokea around the same time."

A cute similarity that Femi lovingly acknowledged was their birth date

"And also we share a birthday with Fena -25th April," she gushed.

She has urged Kenyans not to mix them up.

"Guys please aki, the next time, walai, niko serious, hii sh** huni pi** off sana."

"Inakuanga ai, kwani si put in effort (distinguish difference) kwnai si work hard ama? Ni nini manze?"

Femi One will be performing at the Raha Fest set for this weekend. Meanwhile, you can catch up with Fena at the Blankets and Wine Festival set for April 7 and also stream her album Love Art Lust.
