Prophet Lovy Longomba who is know a Kenyan preacher based in the U.S. and the leader of Revelation Church International, has made a remarkable comeback to the music industry.
In doing so, the charismatic cleric fulfilled a heartfelt promise he made to his late brother, Christian Longomba, who passed away in March 2021.
Christian lost his long battle to the after-effects of brain tumour removal surgery that he had had a few years before his death.
As one half of the renowned Longombas duo, Christian expressed a final wish for his brother—to witness him return to their musical roots and create songs that reflected their shared divine talent.
Lovy recently shared with his congregation his compelling journey back to music which was inspired by his brother's persistent encouragement.
"On March 13, 2021, my brother Christian was transitioning, but before that moment, he consistently urged me to return to music. He insisted that this was a gift from God," Lovy recalled.
Driven by this divine urging and a promise to his brother, Lovy returned to the studio, where he produced ten songs in just four days—a feat he credits to the unwavering support of his wife and his steadfast faith.
The preacher's musical hiatus concludes with the announcement of his upcoming single, 'Children of Zion,' marking his first release in several years.
"Without my promise to my brother and certainly without God’s approval, I wouldn’t have returned to music. Thank you, my Heavenly Father, for granting me the chance to be creative once more," he expressed, underscoring the spiritual and emotional significance of this new chapter in his life.
