Tiktoker Brian Chira's body was on Monday, March 18, 2024, moved from the City Mortuary to the Kenyatta University Funeral Home.

A postmortem was conducted on Chira's lifeless body before it was moved to KU mortuary for preservation ahead of burial.

Family, friends, and well-wishers gathered at City Mortuary on Monday to view Chira's body after the autopsy.

Issuing an update on the proceedings, Baba Talisha confirmed the move of Brian's body from City Mortuary to KU Referral Mortuary.

He noted that KRG had cleared the required bills are the Mortuary before the body was moved.

Brian Chira was killed in a hit-and-run accident on Saturday night March 16, 2024.

Reports of Chira's death spread on social media on Saturday afternoon. According to Police speaking to The Star, Chira died as a result of an accident he was involved in, in the Karuri area.

Police also said the deceased was at a bar in Gacharage area and later caused a commotion. He was then forced out. Later, he took a motorcycle to his home and alighted before attempting to cross on foot.

A speeding lorry hit him and sped off. It did not stop, witnesses and police said. The matter is under investigation.

News of his death spread on social media with many mourning him.

TikTok family organizing Chira's burial said that he would be laid to rest in Githunguri, Kiambu County at his grandmother's farm.

The burial date has not yet been communicated.
