Six gospel songs Jowie has released since his debut as a Gospel singer

Unknown to many Joseph Irungu alias Jowie was a founder member of the church choir Agape Stormers (Pangani Estate).

Jowie was also a Voice Coach back in Nakuru where he hails from.

He also comes from a family of creatives, one of his brothers is a guitarist.

Jowie's venture into gospel music began in 2020 with his first release, 'Nishikilie'.

 It was released right after he was given bail by the court, after spending time at the Kamiti Maximum Security Prison. 

In 2024, he released the song 'Nakuabudu' (I worship You) hours after the court found him guilty in the murder of Monicah Kimani on 9th,02,2024.

The song has so far garnered more than 300,000 views on YouTube.

The lyrics of 'Nakuabudu' show Jowie submitting his life to the hands of God.

Partly they say;

"At the cross, I am healed, I will not be afraid for you are with me. Your word comforts me, Lord. I praise you, I worship you. It's you," added the lyrics.

'I Believe' Audio which is his current release has so far been listened to more than 55K times.

Many have been wondering how Jowie has been able to release songs despite being behind bars.

In a past interview, Jowie revealed he had more than 20 recorded songs awaiting release.

“I have over 20 songs that I have written and recorded at Safri Records awaiting release. Through my music, I hope many will be inspired. I want to use my testimony through my music to bring healing and transformation to all those seeking a new beginning” Said Jowie.
