Motivational speaker Sam West has shared a glimpse into his troubled days as a youth.

Unknown to many the calm gentle man dropped out of Campus not once but twice.

Sharing his experience during an interview on Radio Maisha, the father of one divulged.

" I went to Nairobi University

I did Medicine for a few months and quit. I went to Kabete Campus, and did one Semester before I quit.

I went to college and did Computer Science but quit after a year."

That decision saw Sam's dad send him abroad

"My dad was pissed and that is how I landed in Australia and did International Business.

I was on a scholarship, so I had to finish school.

When I came back I started a Radio station in Nakuru."

What made him quit?

"I was trying to look for purpose in my life. Unfortunately, most people struggle with their purpose in life.

If you do not find out your purpose early you will be confused.

When I was doing Medicine, I realized it was not what I wanted to do with my life.

What motivated him to start a radio station? (Hero FM)

"I was a DEEJAY and I have an interest in entertainment. I was following my passion but by the time I was 23/24 the passion was already fading.

Passion fades with time. The radio station has now become a Venacular station dubbed Gitugi FM.
