Singer Khadija Kopa has opened up about warning her daughter Zuchu before she got banned from performing in Zanzibar.

Zuchu was banned from performing in Zanzibar after her show in Kendwa Rocks where she uttered what was termed as abusive words according to Basata which is the National Arts Council of Tanzania.

Speaking to Wasafi FM, Mama Zuchu said she had spoken to her just a few days before the ban.

"Wanasema ajali kazini, yataisha. Hakuna jambo lisilokua na mwisho. Kabla hata hayajatokea, nilimwambia. Nimemwelekeza."

She added that she intended to entertain and not cause nuisance. She apologised to the public and the National Arts Council of Tanzania.
