Controversial Gospel artists Chris Embarambamba has asked netizens to stop judging him/criticising his music noting that people just misunderstand him.

The Kisii artist through a video that he shared online encouraged people to listen to his music with an open mind and pay attention to the message as opposed to just blindly judging him.

He went on to express his disappointment to all those claiming that he should be banned from singing, arguing that his music was not as bad as people claimed it was.

Watu wanafikiria nyimbo zenye naimba ni za tabia mbaya… na bibilia inasema mazungumzo mabaya huharibu tabia njema…

(people think/assume the songs I sing are morally wrong songs and I know the Bible says bad conversations spoil good manners,) " started Embarambamba while trying to defend himself.

The controversial artist went on to add that the problem was not his music but the people. He noted that people should try listening to his music from the start to the end so as to fully get the message.

"Shida iko kati yangu na nyinyi ni understanding the song..because mtu anaskia mwanzo anaanza kujudge…skiza from the start to the end hautakosa kupata kitu hapo," stated the controversial artist who is known for rolling in the mud and pulling off crazy antics while shooting the music videos for his songs.

The 'Nataka Ninyonywe' singer maintained he is indeed a gospel artist spreading the gospel as instructed by God, encouraging people to go stream his music from 3 years ago so as to get a better understanding of him and his music.

Just recently Embarambara was ordered to pull down his latest song from across all media platforms for violating the Films and Stage Plays Act.

Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) acting chief executive Nelly Muluka said his song titled ‘Niko Uchi’ contravened the law and threatened the safety of children and the general public at large.

She added the circulation of the songs on social media has also sparked public outcry thus the need for her intervention.
