Charles Ouda aka Charli has been described as a bridge between generations in the popular Kenyan series Makutano Junction.

Ouda joined Makutano Junction in 2003.

"His versatility and adoption of the character earned him a place at the table of A-list actors of Makutano Junction at the tender age of 19 years. Philip Revoke or PP as we fondly referred to him amazed directors as he shuttled between different roles; as a child in the Hanka family, a village youth trying to get his identity at Makutano Junction Secondary to a proper depiction of the restlessness of the youth in our ever-changing society," said the Media crew

"With Charles Ouda as PP, storyliners and the writers of the show had a field day experimenting with him as they knew whatever challenge thrown or given to him as a character, Mr Ouda would not disappoint. What couldn't this young man do? He was an excellent footballer, singer and a writer.

He transitioned in the show from a schoolboy to a youth leader as a Councillor in the imaginary town.

Charles Ouda was eulogized as a disciplined and respectful, soft-spoken and gentle all the time who committed to his duties and responsibilities.

"In his own quiet and calm manner, he showed us how to work through challenging times and to carry everyone along. As Charlie sort to understand his character and always delivers his lines with a twist, little did we know the storytelling and writing bug had already bit this young boy who was only in his early 20s, and in no time Charlie joined the MakutanoJuction scriptwriting team. He was never disappointed. It was always refreshing to see a well-brought-up young man who always gave up his seat to an older person."

He was described as one who mingled well with the elderly and also the very young. When Know Zone, another Mediae Production for the school children's show was started Ouda was already fit for the role of a presenter.

"Many believed the role was tailor-made for him that he became an automatic choice as a presenter. His likable character made the program achieve its objective with remarkable success."

Makutano Junction's family went on to say that he was always on a mission to make the projects successful and "be as it may that we now are writing about you in the past tense."

"You leave behind a legacy of such dedication and commitment to the growth of the industry that will always be in the present tense. The impression in our minds as people who worked with you and your acquaintances at the Mediae Company, the memory of you as a modest man; a real gentleman not reluctant to organize end help others will remain in our hearts."

"And we are not alone the outpouring of love to you as you wrap up the show on this earth says it all. Life can be fleeting. But a life lived to the fullest stays in fond memories. This is particularly a difficult and painful time for your family. In extending to them our heartfelt condolences, we wish them courage and strength to bear this irreplaceable loss."

 Rest well Charli.
