Kenyans left to speculate over the cancellation of Shamba la Wanyama show

Citizen TV has canceled a show named Shamba la Wanyama from airing on its television platform after its pilot episode. The show which premiered on Sunday, February 4th was canceled after its pilot episode aired for unknown reasons leaving Kenyans to speculate. 

In a post on X, Serah Mwihaki, the show's scriptwriter mentioned that the show had been barred from running on citizen television. She, however, confirmed that all episodes of the show were still available on Viusasa.

However, the writer's statement of "want to know more watch it then makes your conclusions." left many Kenyans to speculate as to the reasons behind this cancellation. 

Actor Shiviske Shivisi also demanded an explanation leading to this revocation.

 "So Shamba La Wanyama has been pulled down by Citizen TV after airing only one episode with zero explanation... without solid reason was left here to speculate as to why Citizen TV care to explain?" Shiviske Shivisi posted.

The show whose storyline is based on the novel, The Animal Farm, is about a charismatic prosperity gospel businessman who is in the business of selling hope to the hopeless.

The show also confronts societal issues and challenges prevailing norms prompting viewers o question the underlying motives of influential church leaders.

The TV station is yet to state in regards to this cancelation.

Kenyans who were eagerly awaiting for the show to air on Sunday expressed their disappointment as many went on to share their speculations on this cancelation.
