Former NTV journalist Laban Onserio has shared some challenges he faced as a News anchor.
In an interview with Tuko, he explained he shared how being caught with a grenade affected him.
"It was one of the lowest moments in my life.
I am surviving but before then I could feel a dark cloud gathering.
I couldn't point out what exactly.
What doesn't kill you makes you stronger. It was a misunderstanding that was blown out of proportion. I did not give my side of the story.
In the eyes of the public, I was done and dusted ."
He further added
"It gave me time to reflect.
It also shocked me to see how people reported the story. "
Onserio says he wishes people reached out to learn his truth. He lost friends.
'You feel like you have a pool of friends but they are just fans.
It's good to understand it's part of the job, the calls will stop."
I have no hard feelings.
His advice?
"Do not live for the people.
Right now my focus is on doing what I can afford."
He gained publicity for hosting Case Files and Inside Story programmes on KTN.
