Jowie Irungu was today found guilty of Monicah Kimani's murder.

Monica’s body was found at her Lamuria Gardens Apartment which is located on Kitale Lane off Denis Pritt Road in Kilimani in 2018.

Jowie and Jacque Maribe have been on trial since 2018, with the prosecution having called 35 witnesses. 

Below is a timeline of Monicah Kimani's last moments before her murder

September 19th,2018

6:21 PM- Called her brother to tell him after her arrival to Nairobi from Juba.

7:30 PM- Was dropped Lamuria Gardens apartments by a Taxi.

8:00 PM- Collected a delivery from the gate.

8:45 PM: A man in kanzu and cap arrives at the aprtment and goes staright to the kitchen.

9:20PM: A friend meets Monicah at Lamuria Gardens Parking lot.

11: 00PM: Strange text sent to the friend from Monicah's phone 'Come help me sleep."

September 20,2018

11:00 AM : Monicah's brother George Kimani visits her apartment to see her.

2. He had tried reading her with no answer.

12:00 Noon: George breaks into Monicah's apartments and finds her dead.

2.  At 3PM police take Monicah's body to Chiromo mortuary.
