Karen Nyamu has responded to a fan who alleged that she has been silent on the #EndFemicide issue. Nyamu responded to the fan saying threat would not work on her but confirming that she had used her Facebook account to speak against it.

The fan, Catherine Muthoni W commented " We will never forget your silence on this matter #endfemicide as a woman leader."

Nyamu responded;

"Threats don't work on everyone. However I actually addressed this on a fb live which is still up."

This comes a day after Kenyan women took to the streets to march against femicide following numerous cases of femicide.

At the march which was held on Saturday, Women Representative Esther Passaris was asked to leave for maintaining silence about the increased killings that have happened in the country.

She later took to social media, to tell off a woman who booed her at the march.

"You must have a boring life if the best thing you have done in a long time was booing me. By the way. You might have worn a t shirt, carried a placard, and drank water financed by @NGAAF_KE for today’s march. #getalife #loveconquerseverything"
