Comedian Henry Desagu has sparked varied reactions online at when Muigai Wa Njoroge's decision to take on a second wife is being heavily debated.
In a Facebook post, Desagu encouraged people to consider both perspectives rather than relying solely on one person's depiction of the situation.
He suggested that sometimes even women who cheat are not judged as harshly as men in similar situations.
"After they leave their husband because of bibi number 2. The same 'goat' wife starts dating married men… #doublestandards #poorboychild," remarked Desagu.
While clarifying that he is not advocating for polygamous marriage, Desagu underscored the importance of hearing both sides of the story and cautioned against rushing to judgment based on one perspective.
"Not advocating for polygamy, but let's hear both sides of the coin—the wife and the husband's side. Rather than women always being the victim, probably they pushed their men to depression, forcing them out of the marriage, and later they acted as victims of their mess."
His statement comes hot on the heels of Njeri Muigai's recent revelations about the challenges in her marriage and confirmation of her separation from the gospel artist.
