Abel Mutua and Phillip Karanja are debuting a new series dubbed 'Haki Mwitu.' The comedy series produced by Phillit Production is set to hit the screen on February 9th.

In an exclusive interview with Mpasho, Phillip Karanja said the show is based on a group of vigilantes who are solving crimes.

"They are like, if the law isn't working for us, we are gonna solve the crime in our own way," Phil It.

Abel Mutua added that this is a spin-off from their first feature film dubbed "A Grand Little Lie"

"It is a story of four people who tried to follow the right channels but the system failed them. They started offering solutions in vigilante styles."

On why they are focused on highlighting everyday situations in their films, Mutua said "I've come to know that for entertainment to inspire, to educate and inform, it needs to be relatable."

"These are things we want to show, things that actually happen in our surroundings, and get a solution to that."

The series will premiere on Maisha Magic Plus.
