DJ Pierra Makena's swollen face was cause for concern when she shared a video of her face this past weekend.

Makena did not mention what was going on, however Kenyans were understanding enough and wished her a quick recovery.

In an update following curious private messages, the mix master has updated that she had a bad allergic reaction, that prompted her to rush to seek medical attention.

"First guys thank you so much for your well wishes. All is under control and I'm now home.. never a dull one when my baby is next to me...honestly hata sina nguvu ya ku argue. Is it black chokora? 😳 🙄🙄 someone needs to tell her for me..nimeisha nguvu," she penned.

She also showed how far much better her face had improved since getting medical intervention.

"Thanks for the concern too..I had a burst of bad allergy reaction we are yet to know what exactly happened.. plus fatigue 😩 😪 so it got me down. No, I was not beaten nor was I in a car accident. All is under control thanks to the docs and nurses who quickly attended to me at the ER. I'm recovering from home with forced/deserved rest.. have a blessed week fam"

She appreciated all those who checked up on her.
