Kenyan comedian Cartoon Comedian aka Vanessa Akinyi has a controversial reason why she thinks people suffer from depression and are unhappy.

The comedian has been missing from her social media for some time, more so during the festive season, and for this new year, she has penned her thoughts about why people are unhappy.

She put it down to doing things that don't please God.

"Every time you get depressed, anxious or are unhappy, chunguza sana!" she appeared to suggest.

Vanessa then went ahead to break down her reasoning as to why bad things happen to citizens of the world.

"You might have done something that didn't please the Lord."

Adding her concern over issues such as;

"It could be sexual immoralities, could be not believing in God or even mistreating the wrong person who cries to the Lord with your name," she continued.

"Make sacrifices to God and break all soul ties find the Lord for everything in the world is evil,"

"Happy sabbath God loves you."

Cartoon comedian rarely gets candid about issues online and the last time she spoke of depression was back in 2022 when it was rumored she faced a breakup.

She took a social media break. Several famous people have so far this year opened up about not being okay emotionally.

Content creator Elodie Zone penned the many challenges she is facing from losing friends and family to a job and a breakup.

Brian Chira and Kimani Mbugua have also got Kenyans concerned with statements they made last week.
