Actor Abel Mutua has broken his silence after being accused of neglecting his younger brother Raphael Mbuvi Musyoka aka Rapho.
23-year-old Rapho allegedly took his own life and this elicited mixed reactions forcing Mutua to clear the air.
In his statement, Mutua mentioned that his brother has been ill for some time and he is ready to share his (Rapho) story to save someone else.
“Thank you so much Wakurugenzi for the love that you’re sending our way. A good number of you know the truth and you have stood with us since my brother became ill. I’ll tell Rapho’s story because I know it’ll save someone and his death won’t be in vain. See you after the burial,” Mutua shared on Twitter.
Mutua's statement followed backlash from social media users who questioned why he was seeking financial help to accord his brother a decent burial.
Some of the users claim that he is well off, judging from what he shares on his social media pages, and should not seek support from Kenyans.
Others have, however, strongly defended the actor.
