Ugandan singer Jose Chameleone has been thrown into mourning.

This was after Former Uganda Cranes and Express Football Club left-winger Ibrahim Buwembo's passing.

Buwebo died on Friday in Mengo Hospital after an illness.

During his youth, he won the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup with Uganda Cranes in 1992.

He was also part of the Express side that won the 2001 Uganda Cup.5

Taking to his socials Chameleone celebrated the deceased for the role he played in matters of football.

"BASIIMA OGENZE | WANASHUKURU UKISHA ENDAYou did your part Ibrahim, Sleep well Papa.All you deserved was Love and Honour and I gave it to you. Uganda Cranes - 10Asante Ibrahim Buwembo - RIPLEONE ISLAND FOREVER."

He was among the coaching staff at Express FC between 2003 and 2005 before handling Super Cubs as coach / player alongside Paul Nkata to lead them to the Uganda Premier League in 2006.

He again handled Express FC on interim basis in 2007 before concentrating on his agency (B1) business where he has helped a lot of players get deals in Asia and, also linked Ugandan clubs to high profile friendly tours in Vietnam.
