Famed funnyman Dr Ofweneke has mastered the art of delivering jokes while entertaining crowds. His life as a comedian-cum-Mc has seen him always hired for events, and get well paid too.
However, this was not always the case. His good friend Dj Sadic revealed that Ofweneke sometimes got it wrong.
Sadic told of a very distasteful joke that Ofweneke delivered that left guests very uncomfortable. Sadic made this revelation while appearing as a guest on Rembo TV for the dating show co-hosted by Diana Marua.
The Dj who is a long-time friend of Ofweneke branded him "disgusting" over a joke he made years back.
"Niambie watu vile ulichoma siku moja?" Ofweneke dared him because he was over the embarrassing moment saying, "saa hii nimemake it."
So according to Sadic, Ofweneke was to introduce a Nigerian artiste, Frank Edwards to church leaders. While he initially had the audience in fits of laughter, things soon became awkward.
He did this expertly but couldn't resist a punch line about the height of the Nigerian.
"Amekuja church so when Ofweneke was given the chance to introduce him Mc Jessy had stepped out a bit, so Ofweneke was offered the opportunity. Ofweneke said, 'Guys you know, the shorter the monkey, the bigger the tail.'"
Ofweneke said that that was his most embarrassing moment, "Let me tell you it was a youth alive conference, all the youth from Winners Chapel East Africa almost 3,000 people went dead silent. I just saw the Senior Pastor leaning toward the youth Pastor whispering."
Luckily for the MC, his blunder wasn't catastrophic as he and the pastor are good friends at the moment.
Dr. Ofweneke and Diana Marua, alongside relationship expert, Gertrude Mungai, help Kenyans find love on the dating reality show, Hello Mr Right Kenya.
Diana made her TV debut in April, while he had been on it for quite some time.
