A former assistant to American actor Vin Diesel is suing the Fast & Furious star, accusing him of sexually assaulting her during the filming of the 2010 movie Fast Five.

Representatives for the actor, real name Mark Sinclair, did not respond to the BBC's request for comment. Asta Jonasson claims in the case that the actor pushed her against the wall while he was pleasuring himself.

She is also suing for wrongful termination, claiming his company fired her hours after the alleged assault.

Ms Jonasson's lawsuit, which was filed in Los Angeles on Thursday, alleges the sexual assault took place at the St Regis Hotel in Atlanta during the filming of Fast Five.

She says in the lawsuit that Mr Sinclair, 56, overpowered her in her hotel and "ignored Ms Jonasson's request for consent" while groping her.
