Politician Jaguar may be rich right now and living a good lifestyle, but back when he was growing up, he lacked a lot.
The singer in an interview with Muthoni wa Kirumba told how he learned that people wear undergarments while in high school.
He has been in and out of school owing to a lack of fees. He would do odd jobs to earn some money and pay fees.This was while he was in Form 3 at Senior Chief Koinange.
"I was doing makanga jobs earning good money to pay fees. When I made good money I would disappear back to school. the mataut owner one day found out I was a minor.
She felt sorry for me."
His schoolmates were from well-off families,
"I had to humble myself seeing them being dropped off in Range Rovers, holding birthday parties, I didn't even want to open my suitcase in front of them. It was a pity. I saw tissue for the first time in that school. I even found out that people wear underwear. I was in Form 3. I just used to wear trousers without anything"
He decided to steal one boxer from the clothesline to sample.
"I used to ask the other students why you wear a trouser -boxer- under another trouser" he shared laughing.
He also began his music career in high school. He gained fame in national events and competitions. He was living in Dandora in a house splitting rent with a friend.
