Just two weeks after setting her dowry price at one billion Kenyan shillings, rapper Sylvia Ssaru has raised the price again and said that it currently stands at Sh1.5 billion while telling men that the price might still exceed Sh2 billion.
In an interview with Mungai Eve in Eldoret last weekend where she was one of the artists performing at the Love and Vibes concert, Ssaru was also able to give a few reasons that make her feel her dowry is not less than a billion.
"Right now it's 1.5b and if it's late 2024 I'll raise it, those who say I'll marry myself I can afford it. So if someone has to marry me, he has to be more than me, that is, he should come with more than me," she said.
The beauty said that for those who ask what she will bring to the table, she said that if you leave the table away, she is the foundation of the house itself where the table will sit.
"My life right now, I don't need a poor man, I need someone who can also support me with other things, if I date a poor man it will pull me back. Only a man should strive to reach the price," Ssaru said while revealing that she found herself in the trap of dating a poor man, and when she found out, she didn't even wait.
Regarding what she will contribute to the marriage after being given a dowry of one and a half billion, Ssaru said;
"I am the foundation of the whole house, so leave the table, I am the finished house. Right now you are being asked what you bring home, not the table now. I think I bring everything because in this life I come with love and my own salary, I come with beauty, so if it all doesn't fit on the table, I don't know."
The beauty admitted that many Kenyan fans like music with dirty content but said that she does not make music because of the love of dirty content but because of the wishes of the fans.
"Dirty music indeed sells, those are the songs that Kenyans like if you give it you have a show here and there," she said.
