The Kikuyu song Mwaki by Sofiya M Nzau ft Zerb is the most viral song in the world, according to Brazilian music producer DJ Zerb.

The producer took to his Instagram to announce, "THE MOST VIRAL SONG IN THE WORLD 😭❤️" in a brief caption.

He cited a screenshot of an announcement reading 'Viral SONGS GLOBAL' dated November 16, 2023 a Spotify chart that states it is at number 1.

Sofiya recently revealed on TikTok that she was born in Miruri, Murang’a, and is married to a Kamba man named Nzau, who doubles as her manager and producer.

Nzau’s online platform, beatsbynzau.com, showcases his prowess in producing and selling beats, some featuring Sofiya’s enchanting vocals.

‘Mwaki’ is just one of Sofiya’s EDM ventures; she also explores the Amapiano style in her quirky track ‘Kiwaru.’

The energetic and lively tones of the song are quite a hit on TikTok where it first went viral, and Kenyans have instantly been drawn to it.

6 days ago, Zerb on his Instagram praised Sofiya writing, "Music is a universal language that can take a woman from Kenya and a man from Brazil and make a song the entire world is noticing. Music is the universal language," he repeated in a message where he was also congratulated.
