Radio King Maina Kageni has condoled with the family of East FM presenter Aleem Manji.
Maina celebrated the late Manji for encouraging him to live life to the fullest.
He has also assured Manji's widow Seema of his undying support.
"Hey @aleemanji thank you for being a wonderful soul, husband, father and colleague.... you always told me to eat life with a big spoon because tomorrow is never promised.... I will, ever so more now.... your impact on @eastfmkenya was massive.... to @seemasarkarmanji I hope you find strength in The Almighty..... no one can ever say enough to make you feel better.... but we cannot question His will.... I'm with you all the way.... Aleem, you shall be missed.... deeply.... and your memory shall forever remain a blessing..... RIP....."
The star died on November 12.
"It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the sudden demise of our breakfast presenter Aleem Manji. We will miss you Aleem. Over 15 years of laughter, warmth, and immense joy," the station said in a statement.
Manji was described as a calm and lively person who has been on radio for over 15 years.
"Heaven earned itself an Angel. You have been nothing but an amazing friend, brother, and teammate at East FM. May your soul rest in eternal peace. Let us keep his family, friends, and fellow colleagues in our thoughts and prayers."
Manji's funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 14 at 9.15 am at the Aga Khan Complex and Pavilion.
Married to Seema Sarkar Manji for 13 years, the couple is blessed with two children.
Manji died aged 45 years.
He left behind a widow and two kids.
