Former President Uhuru Kenyatta says he is doing well in response to online queries as he celebrates his 62nd birthday.
The former Head of State was speaking live on air on Kameme FM on Thursday, Oct 26, where he dedicated a song to Kenyans.
Mr Kenyatta called Kenyans bold patriots assuring them that he still cares about them.
"Mimi ni mwema nashukuru mungu. I am so thankful to Kenyans for the birthday wishes, and god bless you all. " said the jovial ex-president.
He acknowledged the cakes, and songs dedicated to him online adding "I am thankful to God for this far Don't ask me so much about how old I am turning" He laughingly tried to keep away from mentioning his age.
"Let us pray to God to keep us in peace and we should also pray for our country. because the country is celebrating 60 years. I pray for Kenya as well" he told.
Mr Kenyatta loves UB40 and the presenter in the four-minute phone calls got him to name the song he wanted dedicated to himself and to Kenyans.
He chose 'I got you, babe'.
"Once again I am so thankful to Kenyans for wishing me a happy birthday and just as you are praying for me, I will also pray for you Kenyans as well. I dont have much else to say, and any song you play for me I will appreciate"
At first, he was reluctant to name a song, only urging the presenter to pick any UB 40 song. But after a further appeal, Uhuru responded."Play for me I got you babe. that one hahaha"
He turns 62 years today.
