American socialite who went viral after alleging she is pregnant for Nigerian singer Davido, Anita Brown has released a statement apologizing to Davido's wife Chioma.

Anita who also goes by the moniker Nina noted that she was currently going through a traumatic time in her life and regrets lashing out on Chioma.

In her lengthy Instagram post, she went on to highlight she never meant to lash out on Chioma or speak about her late son but the betrayal she felt from the "Risky" hitmaker was immense and took the better part of her.

Ms. Brown intimated that she had genuinely loved Davido and "losing" him tore at her heart.

"I am going through a traumatic and tragic time in my life, I honestly don't want to speak on it and don't need to or have to speak on it. It is too much to bear right now," started the American socialite.

She went on to add that her heart was not at peace with everything that had transpired in the last couple of months noting above all, that turning on another woman broke her the most.

Anita revealed she was ready to move on and didn't wish for the drama of the last 3 months to be tied to her and her personality.

"I am disquieted by all of the events that have taken place. The only thing I will say is I regret that I let my pain and feelings of betrayal allow me to turn me against another woman.

So, I apologise to Chioma. I never intended to speak on you or your child. Losing is never a good feeling, being hurt by someone you love and care about is not a good feeling. Moving forward, I would prefer to be known for the light I bring into the world. Peace & Love," the rest of her post read.

On her Instagram stories she shared a few eyebrow raising posts touching on dealing with liars, moving on and a few prayer posts.

One of them was titled, "Knowing when to walk away prayer," while another read, "A prayer to get yourself back together,"

Netizens are however not feeling Anita's apology and some still hold the notion that it's a clout chasing attempt. While others marveled at Chioma's ability to drown out the noise and stick with her man.
